Teacher Laptops
This is just a reminder to the teachers that there are certain end-of-the-year procedures concerning your laptops. The procedures differ according to the circumstances. Please see below.
If you are taking your laptop home for the summer, just make sure to take your adapters, power adapters, etc. home as well. If you keep everything together, you’ll have an easier time locating them when you return in the fall. You will not need to check your laptop in at the end of the year.
If you do NOT want to take your laptop home over the summer, put your name on the bag and check in your laptop as instructed at your school. You will be responsible for any missing items, so take the time to check around now for the appropriate adapters, etc.
Any retiring or resigning teacher will return his/her laptop to the school principal. It is the teacher’s responsibility to replace any missing items, so be sure to locate those ASAP.
If a teacher transfers to another school, the Technology Department will send a new Laptop Checkout Agreement to the principal at the teacher’s new location. The teacher will report to the new location with the laptop he/she already has. The teacher and the principal will sign the new agreement and send the original to the Technology Department.
If a transfer occurs in the same scholastic year, and the teacher has purchased insurance, that insurance coverage will follow the teacher.
