Dexter Middle Old Laptop Turn-In

On Wednesday morning, May 24th, please bring your old laptop and power adapter to the library for turn-in first thing in the morning. Be sure to have a sticky note on it with your name and your laptop password.
We will re-image these laptops to be used as student laptops, but all the same, if it were me, I would delete my email before I turned it in.
Here’s how to delete your email:
Open your hard drive.
Click on your home directory - the little house that probably has “Teacher” next to it.
Click on Documents.
Find Microsoft User Data.
Drag that whole folder to the trash and empty the trash.
Next, you may want to delete some of your documents too. Just drag them to the trash and then empty the trash. You can delete your pictures and music the same way.
When the laptops are re-imaged, the hard drive is erased, but you probably want to feel secure in the meantime that no unauthorized person has access to your files, before the re-imaging occurs.
