Tiger Issues
Be sure to Repair Permissions and restart your laptop before you install Tiger. Also, make sure that you detach any peripheral that you may have attached before you install. This does NOT include your power cord or an ethernet cable. Those items can remain attached, but if you have a USB printer or a camera or a thumb drive attached, detach it before you do the install.
A word about Safari and Edline. After you install Tiger, you will probably have to go back and select Firefox as your default browser again. Go to Safari — Preferences — General — Default Web Browser — Select Firefox.
A reminder about how to Repair Permissions: Open your Applications folder. Go to Utilities. Click on Disk Utility. Then click on Repair Permissions. It may take a while to run. After it is finished, you will get a message that Disk Permissions have been repaired. Re-start your computer. That’s all there is to it.

Another issue I have discovered today is that once you have upgraded to Tiger, you might have to delete and add your printers back to the Printer Setup. This worked on all that had problems.
