Free Time
In my spare time, I like to go camping, canoeing, kayaking, and hiking. My friends are all dog-lovers, so we’ll often take our dogs and head off for a long walk in the woods somewhere.

This past year, I began a new quest. I’ve decided to hike to the highest point in all of the states in the southeast part of the country. Don’t think I’m going to make the highest points out west, so I settled on something “doable.” So far, I’ve hit the high point in five states, and it has been a lot of fun, even when I had a close encounter with a bear on the trail in Georgia. Wow, I didn’t know I could move so fast going uphill!
Life is full of surprises. One day I may be able to make a “fourteener,” but I’m enjoying all of the lower high points for now.
